James Biemer, MD
Dr Biemer has provided primary care to adults as a board certified internal medicine physician for over 20 years. After completing his residency at Georgetown University and additional fellowship training in research and teaching at the Portland VAMC and OHSU, he has practiced in the Portland area almost exclusively at St Vincent Medical Center, where he was recently elected President of the Medical Staff (2012-2014). As a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine for many years, he developed an interest in the evolving field of Age Management Medicine- preserving and protecting functional years of life. As an avid triathlete and distance competitor he is especially interested in working with aging athletes. In early 2015 he introduced the Ideal Protein method of medically supervised weight loss to the office, and is interested in helping patients regain a normal body weight, get off of unneeded prescription medications, and increase strength, endurance and functional lifespan.
